So he called his dog, Max. Then he took some red thread,
And he tied a big horn on the top of his head.

Halloween Is Grinch Night premiered on ABC on October 29, 1977. It won the 1978 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's Program.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas was originally telecast in the United States on CBS on December 18, 1966. It went on to become a perennial holiday special.
