The Kit Kat bar was originally introduced in the UK as "Rowntree's Chocolate Crisp" in 1935. Two years later, it was renamed "KitKat." Consisting of several thin bars of chocolate-soaked wafer coated with chocolate, the Kit Kat bar would go on to become the number one selling candy bar in the UK.
The Charleston Chew is a nougat candy bar covered in chocolate, and it was introduced by the Fox Cross Candy Company in 1925. It was named after the Charleston, a lively and popular dance that originated during the Roaring Twenties.
Yellow, orange, white is the progression of standard candy corn. The "indian corn" variation is brown at the widest end.
The original Almond Joy candy bar sold for 10 cents when it was introduced by the Peter Paul Manufacturing Company in 1946. It is very similar to the Mounds bar, introduced in 1921, which does not include almonds and is coated with dark chocolate.
