Aladdin tricks Jafar into using his last wish to become an all-powerful genie, which includes being trapped inside his own magic lamp.

Jafar and Maleficent share a staff, a bird and both transform themselves into huge beasts at the end of the film.

Iago is Jafar's loud-mouthed parrot.

He uses his first wish to become "Prince Ali Ababwa" in order to woo Jasmine.

Sebastian emerges from a spell book when Genie is trying to figure out how to make Aladdin a prince.

Aladdin is tied up, gagged and thrown into the sea by Jafar, but he is rescued from drowning by the Genie who plays somewhat loose with the interpretation of his second wish.
