Originally, the time machine was a refrigerator, but Zemeckis and Spielberg were afraid kids might "try this at home" and get trapped inside refrigerators, so they scrapped the idea.

Billy Zane portrays "Match", the only one of Biff's three sidekicks without a single line in the entire movie.
