Boun is a street-savvy entrepreneur from Tail, and the owner of a boat restaurant dubbed the Shrimporium. After helping Raya and Sisu escape Namaari and her tribesmen, Boun becomes their guide through Kumandra's various lands.
As Sisu is reunited with the various pieces of the dragon orb, she gains the powers of shapeshifting, fog generation, illumination, and hydrokinesis (controlling water/rain).
Throughout the film, Sisu believes that most problems can be solved by gift-giving, but her suggestions fall on deaf ears until Raya finally relents and agrees to give Namaari the dragon pendant as a peace offering.
Raya and Sisu meet privately with Namaari, but Namaari, torn by her responsibility to save Fang's reputation and her wish to help defeat the Druun, threatens to shoot them with a crossbow unless they hand over the orb pieces. Sisu tries to calm Namaari, but Raya, sensing that Namaari will shoot, attacks, and the dragon is fatally shot by Namaari's crossbow.
With the last dragon dead, Fang is overrun by the Druun. Raya, remembering how trust once allowed Sisu to save the world, gives her piece of the orb to Namaari and allows the Druun to take her. The others follow suit, with Namaari assembling the orb and using it to vanquish the Druun and revive everyone, including the dragons.
Namaari is the first princess in an animated Disney film to be depicted as an antagonist.
