Cornelius Evazan, also known as Roofoo or Doctor Death, was a notorious outlaw and sociopath active during the Galactic Civil War. He considered himself a skilled surgeon, even though his patients were often maimed or killed after botched "operations". By the time of the Battle of Yavin, his activities had earned him a death sentence in at least twelve systems.

Baze Malbus was said to be one of the Guardians of the Whills, along with his longtime companion Chirrut Îmwe.

Once he has proven the station's power, the imperious Grand Moff Tarkin uses a recent security leak as a pretext to wrest control of the weapon away from Krennic.

Although Admiral Raddus perishes and his flagship is destroyed, his sacrifice and that of the other rebels allows the plans to escape that will ultimately be used to destroy the Death Star.

After Jyn transmits the Death Star schematics, Vader boards the Rebel command ship and attempts to recover them, but a small starship escapes with the plans on board. Aboard the fleeing ship, Princess Leia declares that the schematics will provide "hope" for the Rebellion.

During the battle, Red Five (Pedrin Gaul) is killed by TIE fighters when he strays too far from the group. Gaul's callsign is later taken by Luke Skywalker, who destroys the Death Star during the Battle of Yavin.

During the Imperial Era, Mustafar became a fortified Imperial world as it housed Fortress Vader, the personal sanctum of the Sith Lord Darth Vader.

K-2SO sacrifices himself so Jyn and Cassian can retrieve the data. Îmwe is killed after activating the master switch to allow communication with the Rebel fleet, and Malbus is killed in action shortly afterwards. Jyn successfully transmits the schematics to the Rebel command ship, but the Death Star destroys the compromised base, killing Krennic, Cassian and Jyn, along with all remaining ground forces, both Rebel and Imperial.

After Cassian Andor rescues Jyn from an Imperial labor camp, he brings her to the Rebel leader Mon Mothma, who convinces her to rescue Galen so the Alliance can learn more about the Death Star.

Ponda Baba was a male Aqualish thug who rescued Dr. Evazan from a bounty hunter. The two formed a partnership and began to smuggle spice for Jabba the Hutt.
