Invasion of Privacy (2018) debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, broke several streaming records, was certified triple platinum by the RIAA and named by Billboard the top female rap album of the 2010s. Cardi B plays Diamond in Hustlers opposite Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, and Lili Reinhart. The film follows a crew of strippers in New York City who begin drugging stock traders and CEOs who visit their club, then running up their credit cards.
Cardi B caused significant controversy after throwing one of her shoes at Nicki Minaj at an after-party hosted by Harper's Bazaar during New York Fashion Week 2018. She later stated that Minaj had "liked" comments made by other users on social media, who spoke negatively about Cardi B's abilities to take care of her newly born daughter.
