REPTILE TRIVIA III

21) How do alligators hunt?

Alligators hunt predominantly at night and have been observed using complex social organization during hunts, with large alligators scaring prey towards smaller ones waiting in ambush, or working in teams to trap schools of fish in circles, then feeding in shifts.

22) How do bearded dragons show dominance?

Head bobbing is usually used to communicate dominance between two dragons. Males will head bob at females to show their dominance during breeding. At other times, two bearded dragons will head bob at each other as a sign of territorial aggression. Generally, the faster the head bob the more threatening. If a dragon decides to back down, it will wave its arm as a sign of submission.

23) How toxic is Gila monster venom?

Gila monster venom is about as toxic as that of a western diamondback rattlesnake. However, a relatively small amount of venom is introduced in a Gila bite as these lizards chew the venom in through grooves in their teeth rather than injecting it through fangs like venomous snakes.
