In 1925, Man o' War was seen in the film Kentucky Pride which was directed by John Ford and featured several well-known thoroughbred racehorses.
Man o' War was not entered in the 1920 Kentucky Derby because his owner, Samuel Riddle, did not believe in racing at the distance of 10 furlongs so early in a young horse's career.
Man O ' War won the 1920 Lawrence Realization Stakes in a World Record time of 2:40.80, beating his opponent Hoodwink by an incredible 100 lengths.
