Green Arrow's real name is Oliver "Ollie" Queen, a billionaire businessman and owner of Queen Industries.

During the Silver Age, Green Arrow's home was established as being in Star City, which was first mentioned in Adventure Comics #265.

Speedy is the name of two DC Comics superheroes (Roy Harper & Mia Dearden) who served as teenage sidekicks for the Green Arrow.

In The Brave and the Bold #85 (August-September 1969), Neal Adams updated Green Arrow's visual appearance by giving him a Van Dyke beard and a new costume.

In the Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters limited series, the enigmatic female Japanese archer, Shado, forces herself on Oliver and becomes pregnant by him, producing a son named Robert.

Green Arrow was created by Mortimer Weisinger and George Papp.

In Green Arrow #100-101, Oliver infiltrates a group of eco-terrorists known as the Eden Corps and sacrifices his life in order to prevent the group from detonating a bomb that would destroy the city of Metropolis.
