While the producers originally wanted Cary Grant for the role, they discarded the idea when Grant would only commit to one film. Ultimately, the producers turned to 32 year-old Sean Connery, who would go on to star in seven Bond films.
When British spy John Strangways approaches three blind beggars, he drops a coin in their tin cup. The assassins thank him--then proceed to shoot him and stuff his body in a hearse. They have become known as "The Three Blind Mice" because of the song that accompanies them on the film's soundtrack.
After a friendly game of Baccarat, Bond asks Miss Trench what other games she plays. "Golf," she replies, "among other things." When he invites her to golf with him the next day, she says she'll have to let him know, but he later finds her in his hotel practicing her putting skills in nothing but a button-up shirt. "Tell me," Bond says, "do you always dress this way for golf?"

When Bond arrives in Jamaica, he is immediately accosted by a man claiming to be his driver, but who is really an enemy agent sent to kill him. Bond easily subdues the chauffeur, but the agent commits suicide with a cyanide capsule hidden in a cigarette before Bond can interrogate him.
Crab Key is the stronghold of Dr. No. It contains a large bauxite mine and acres upon acres of swamps, marshland, rivers and Mangroves.
The tarantula, which has been planted in Bond's bed by Dent, crawls up under the sheets, appearing first as a large moving lump. 007 sweats out the large spider's agonizingly slow crawl up his body, but when it moves onto his pillow, he dives off the bed, grabs his shoe, and pounds it to death.
The package contains a Geiger counter, which Bond uses to check Quarrel's boat. At the exact spot on the boat where the rock samples from Crab Key were lying, the Geiger counter shows signs of radioactivity. "Yet Professor Dent told me they were worthless chunks of iron-ore," Bond remarks. "He's either a bad professor," CIA agent Felix Leiter responds, "or a poor liar."
