When Tramp hears Lady's frantic barking, he rushes into the house and corners the rat in the nursery.
Peggy Lee also provided voices for Darling and the Siamese cats, co-wrote all the film's songs, and sang four of them, including "He's a Tramp".
When Tramp is captured, Jock and Trusty chase after the dog catcher's wagon. They manage to scare the horses, causing the wagon to crash. Jim Dear arrives in a taxi with Lady, and she reunites with Tramp, but their joy is short-lived when they find Trusty pinned underneath the wagon's wheel, motionless, with Jock howling mournfully.
The movie cost $4 million to make. During its initial run, it earned $6.5 million in domestic box office, making it the studio's biggest hit since Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Tramp calls Lady Pidge (short for pigeon) possibly because he believes there's a little bit of bird dog in all of us.
