BOND: I'm sorry for your loss.
LUCIA: You knew my husband?
BOND: All too briefly.
LUCIA: What do you do?
BOND: Life insurance.
LUCIA: A little late for that.
When Bond arrives at Palazzo Cadenza to attend the SPECTRE meeting, a security guard asks him to identify himself. Bond responds "Sono Topolino, E tu chi saresti?" in Italian, which means "I'm Mickey Mouse, and who are you?", before flashing his stolen SPECTRE ring.
BOND: You're protecting someone. Your wife.
MR. WHITE: She left long ago.
BOND: Your son. Your daughter.
MR. WHITE: You won't find her. She's clever. She's smarter than me. She knows how to hide.
BOND: I can protect her if you tell me where she is. I can keep her alive.
Before killing himself, Mr. White tells Bond that Madeleine can lead him to "l'Américain", which will, in turn, lead him to the SPECTRE.
Two SPECTRE agents corner Q in a cable car, but Bond causes an explosion, which distracts the agents and allows Q to escape.
Swann takes Bond to l'Américain, a hotel in Morocco, where they discover evidence directing them to Oberhauser's base at a crater in the Sahara.
After contemplating the murder of a small mouse, Bond lets the animal escape through a hole in the wall, then punches a larger hole to reveal a secret room full of videotapes, charts, maps, and photographs.
